Police: Man attacked, robbed inside Gravesend apartment

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in a violent robbery last week.
Police say the suspect assaulted a man inside his own apartment at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to police, the suspect gained entry into an apartment at the Marlboro Houses by walking through an unlocked front door. He then knocked the 58-year-old victim to the floor and rifled through his pockets, getting away with the man’s benefits cards and a single dollar bill.
Police describe the suspect as around 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. They say he was last seen wearing a white baseball hat, gray sweater, blue jean shorts and black sneakers.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
