BROOKLYN -

The NYPD Patrol Borough Brooklyn North gave out basketballs and hoops while playing with kids Monday in Brooklyn.

As part of their "Take Over The Streets" event, officers arrived around 2:30 p.m. to spots in Bushwick, Brownsville, East New York and Bed-Stuy to play basketball.

The last location was the exact place where detectives Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were killed in their patrol car 2 1/2 years ago.

Organizers say the basketballs and hoops were donated by Spaulding.
