Police: Suspect stole $3K in tools from Crown Heights construction site

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a Crown Heights construction site of $3,000 worth of tools.

Officials say the suspect broke into a site at 170 Buffalo Ave. on July 29.

They say he climbed through an open window of a trailer and took an iPad in addition to the tools.

Police say he also tagged both the inside and outside of the trailer with graffiti.

The suspect is described as around 18 to 25 years old and between 5 foot 8 and 5 foot 10. Police say he was last seen wearing a black shirt, army fatigue pants and dark-colored sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
