On the 16th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the Brooklyn-Bedford 9/11 Memorial Committee continued its tradition of remembering the lives lost on that day.
Crowds gathered for a candlelight vigil Monday night at Bill Brown Memorial Park, where a mural pays tribute to the police officers, firefighters and civilians who died on 9/11.
A woman whose sister is on the mural says that those who attend ever year to honor their friends and family have become a family of their own.
