Boogie Down Bites: Moss Cafe

Moss Cafe serves up a strong cup of coffee during the day, but the Riverdale joint turns into a full-service restaurant at night.
"There were just so few restaurants that were really young and vibrant and healthy," says owner Emily Weisberg. That prompted her to open her own place when she moved to the Bronx from Israel two years ago.
"We wanted to make a restaurant that was really accessible to everyone," she says.
The cafe features staples like coffee and pastries, and adds wine and beer to the menu at night.
The chefs keep kosher, so all meals are vegetarian, and all ingredients are farm-to-table or made from scratch.
