Nonprofit gives food to those in need for Rosh Hashanah

A nonprofit organization is helping provide food for Rosh Hashanah to help people in need start the Jewish New Year.
The Be Proud Foundation advocates for many neighborhoods, including the Russian American community in Sheepshead Bay.
"The need in the community is that there are a lot of elderly citizens - Holocaust victims, retired Russian military and just seniors in general that are alone in the world," says Regina Andriolo. "We reach out to make it a little better on their holiday."
The organization provides bags filled with everything needed for the holiday, like challah bread and honey.
The Be Proud Foundation says it will also go door to door to hand out food to seniors.
