Officials are collecting applications for a housing lottery for affordable units in a new Downtown Brooklyn development.
Applicants must meet income requirements and have their names chosen in the lottery to qualify.
The income requirement caps them at 60 percent of the area's median pay. For example, a single-person applying for a studio costing $867 in monthly rent can make up to about $40,000. A family of four applying for a two-bedroom that costs about $1,000 monthly cannot make more than $57,200.
Preference will be given to current residents within Community Board 2 and city employees.
Applications are due by Nov. 30.
