Business is blooming for a mobile flower truck in Brooklyn.
Co-founder couple Ashley Custer and Kristin Heckler were inspired by the growing food truck industry in the city, but wanted to do something different.
They started the Uprooted Flower Truck two years ago, a mobile florist serving designed, hand-tied flower bouquets.
The couple claims it's New York City's first flower truck to offer a rotating selection of flowers and color palettes.
They say lots of florists have been closing down in the city over the past five to eight years, and they have managed to find pockets in neighborhoods where there is still a high demand for flowers.
They say Brooklyn has lots of designers and artists who are always looking for fresh flowers.
Flower bouquets are prepared and sold in three sizes - "the studio", "the loft", and "the penthouse" ranging from $12-$45.
