Flatbush man faces murder charge in Brownsville shooting

BROWNSVILLE -

Police say they have made an arrest after the fatal shooting of 62-year-old man in Brownsville Friday night. 

Richard Essor, 33, of Flatbush, is facing murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges. 

Police say they found the unresponsive victim with two gunshot wounds to his chest just after 7 p.m. in front of an auto shop on East 98th Street. 

He was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he later died. 

The victim's identity has not yet been released.
