Some Brooklyn 8th-graders learned what the borough is building Friday as part of National Manufacturing Day.
Those students from Trey Whitfield School joined workers at Adriatic Wood Products, where lumber for items like chairs and cabinets are made.
Adriatic has been in operation for 35 years and is the last lumber mill left in New York City.
The group of students was led by Councilman Rafael Espinal to four different businesses in East New York.
