The Bronx Chamber of Commerce held its annual Italian Heritage Luncheon Wednesday at F&J Pine restaurant.
The chamber honored six distinguished individuals for their contributions to the borough.
The honorees were City Councilman James Vacca, who represents the 13th District; Sal Conforto, publisher of the Bronx Chronicle; Nina Crispino, director of personnel of the city Board of Elections; Gene Fedrancis, artist and director of the Allerton Avenue International Merchants Association; Bernadette Ferrara, graphic designer and president of the Van Nest Neighborhood Alliance; and Frank Vernuccio, president of the American Analysis of News and Media.
The Bronx Chamber of Commerce hosts several events throughout the year, including networking programs and business meetings. It also helps support universities, medical centers and various companies.
