Hoboken PD releases additional images of people who passed out racist flyers

Hoboken police have released additional surveillance images of a group of people accused of passing out racist campaign flyers in the city.
Police say that they believe as many as five people were out distributing the flyers around Hoboken prior to the city’s mayoral election.
The flyers targeted Hoboken City Councilman Ravi Bhalla. They featured an image of Bhalla, who is Sikh, wearing his turban with the caption, “Don’t let terrorism take over our town.”
Bhalla did end up winning the election.
The flyers were meant to appear like they came from rival candidate Councilman Michael DeFusco's campaign. But DeFusco has denied that he had any involvement.
Hoboken Police Chief Kenneth Ferrante addressed the new findings during Monday night's City Council meeting.
Police say they do not believe that the people seen passing the flyers around are the ones who made them. But they want these people to contact police so that detectives can determine where the flyers came from.
Anyone who may have any information about the case is urged to contact Hoboken police.
