Thief swipes tip jar from White Diamond Diner

A sneaky thief swiped a tip jar from a Union County diner right under the employees’ noses.
The crime was caught on the White Diamond Diner’s surveillance camera.
The thief, a white man with brown, reddish hair, is seen walking up to the counter of the Clark diner and grabbing the tip jar while an employee’s back was turned. The thief is then seen walking away and tucking the jar into his jacket.
Employees tell News 12 New Jersey that they are not sure how much money was in the jar, but they have filed a police report.
Anyone who may recognize the thief is asked to call Clark police at 732-388-3434.
The diner has since put out a new tip jar.
