CYPRESS HILLS -

Police are looking for the public's help tracking down a man who was caught on camera toppling over a statue at a Cypress Hills church.

The pastor says the Saint Francis statue at the Blessed Sacrament Church was knocked down twice. The first time happened on Halloween, then again last Saturday.

"To see it knocked over like that it clings to the heartstrings you know?" Parochial Vicar Jose Henriquez says. "And makes your heart beat a little faster because it sad to see something so beautiful almost destroyed. Thank God it wasn't, but to see it almost destroyed that way it just hurts."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
