Police seek drivers in Route 9 incident that killed pedestrian

Sayreville police are looking for drivers who may have been involved in a deadly incident over the weekend to come forward.
Police say that a man was killed while attempting to cross Route 9 North Saturday around 8 p.m. According to police, the man was first struck by a red Saturn SUV as he crossed the road. The man was thrown into the center lane of Route 9 South where he was struck by more vehicles, including a black Mitsubishi sedan.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that they are looking for additional vehicles that may have been involved in the crash.
