With Thanksgiving just two days away, many Brooklyn residents spent Tuesday taking care of last-minute preparations for the feast.

For some, that included a visit to LaPera Brothers in Borough Park for fresh turkey.

The manager says the shop typically sells about 10 of the birds a week -- but beginning on the Saturday before the holiday, that swells to more than 800.

Turkeys cost $2.50 a pound and weight between 15 and 22 pounds.
