Rutland Road tenants accuse landlord of neglect

A group of Crown Heights tenants rallied Tuesday to demand improvements from their landlord.
They say they live in poor conditions and have no building superintendent to make repairs.
Isaac Pollack, the landlord of the Rutland Road building, told News 12 that he didn't have time for an interview. Then he insisted that his tenants are happy and added that the building does have a super. He declined to name the individual.
Inside the building there is a listing with a name, number and apartment for the super. When contacted by News 12, he hung up. No one answered the door at the listed apartment.
The tenants are accusing Pollack of telling someone to identify himself as the super if asked.
They say they suffer from leaks, clogged drains and uncleaned lobbies and stairwells. They also say they have problems with rats and heat.
