Residents burn pre-Thanksgiving dinner calories in Turkey Trot

BROOKLYN -

Some residents decided to spend their Thanksgiving mornings burning off pre-dinner calories in Prospect Park.

More than 2,000 runners took on the park's 15th annual Turkey Trot.

This year, 100 charity bibs were added at $100 each, totaling $10,000.

That money was donated to CHiPS, a nonprofit organization in Park Slope.

The run sold out almost instantly this year.
