A Gowanus ice cream shop has special treats for "Star Wars" fans ahead of the series' next installment hitting theaters in December.
Ample Hills Creamery has three flavors representing elements of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." First is the First Order, representing evil with a deep, dark, salted chocolate ice cream made with intense cocoa powder, bittersweet chocolate and a dash of espresso.
Next is the Resistance, a celebration of the fierceness, determination and diversity of Resistance fighters. It's a brown sugar-, vanilla-based ice cream with red velvet butter cake, toffee and marshmallow.
Finally is the Force, a celebration of the power and beauty of the Jedi. It's a sweet cream ice cream with swirls of rich chocolate fudge representing the balance of the Force.
Ample Hills CEO Brian Smith says he came up with the idea to pay tribute to his favorite movie of all time.
The flavors are currently available at the physical shop, online and in Whole Foods markets throughout the Northeast.
