A candlelight vigil in Bergen Beach marked the 1-year anniversary of the shooting death of a rookie correction officer -- allegedly at the hands of her ex-boyfriend.
Alastasia Bryan, a 25-year-old officer known to friends and relatives as Stasi, was in her car on the way to work at Rikers Island when a gunman shot her five times.
Police have charged Keon Richmond, her 35-year-old former boyfriend, with murder. He also allegedly set the vehicle on fire to try and cover it up.
Richmond has a rap sheet that includes 30 prior arrests. One was for allegedly setting a different ex-girlfriend's car on fire.
He faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted in Bryan's death.
