Dyker Heights holds tree lighting on 74th Street

DYKER HEIGHTS -

Dyker Heights is already famous for its extravagant holiday light displays, and Friday marked a new seasonal event as the neighborhood lit up two-story Christmas tree off of 74th Street.

Elected officials, police officers and firefighters joined Brooklyn residents at the ceremony on a chilly night in the neighborhood's vibrant commercial corridor.

Locals say visitors now have yet another stop to make when visiting during the holidays.
