Crown Heights community members gathered Friday night to remember victims of deadly violence and to call for a stop to it.

Save Our Streets Brooklyn, or S.O.S., hosted the event.

One by one, the names of people lost to gun violence on Brooklyn streets were listed off.

Adults and children shared their experiences and received gifts of hope and resources to continue healing. They agreed that they want to promote safety and mediation to prevent more violence from ending in tragedy.
