Santas stroll through Prospect Park for holiday 5K

BROOKLYN -

Dozens of jolly Brooklyn residents donned their holiday finest Sunday for the annual Santa Suit 5K Run through Prospect Park.

The Santas strolled through a winter wonderland and were rewarded with a free drink as the festivities continued with a pub crawl.

Runners say Saturday's snow created a fitting setting for the event.

"There's snow everywhere and I don't think you could not be in the Christmas spirit when there's this many Santas running around," said Tiffany Sanders.

Proceeds from the event will benefit youth programs around New York City.
