Christmas came a little early to children at one Brooklyn school.
Eighteen law firms anonymously donated Christmas gifts to the children at P.S.131 in Borough Park.
Children were surprised to receive the gifts during a ceremony.
For the past decade, school children around the city have had the opportunity to personally pen letters requesting gifts from their anonymous donors.
In return, each year, the children are given the gifts they asked for through the charitable program.
School officials say the title one school has many students who come from low-income families.
They say many of the families struggle to provide their children with Christmas gifts.
This was the first year P.S. 131 was selected to receive the donated gifts.
Officials say they are thankful for the overwhelming number of law firms who signed up to donate Christmas gifts this year.
