Fuhgeddaboudit Food: Anthony & Son Panini Shoppe

Anthony & Son Panini Shoppe has been serving classic Italian sandwiches for over two decades.
Antonio Curcio opened Anthony & Son Panini Shoppe in 1994 after immigrating from Italy.
"Where we're from in southern Italy, mozzarella is the best. Mozzarella is in every meal, sometimes it's even in breakfast, lunch and dinner," Curcio says.
He makes the mozzarella fresh daily, and the shop goes through around 50 pounds every day.
Layered on top of the shop’s famous chicken cutlets, toasted on garlic bread with vodka sauce and their bestseller, the FDNY sandwich.
"It's all made with love and the sauce is a family recipe," he says.
Curcio says all of the ingredients are imported from Italy, including the six meats used on their Godfather sandwich.
It's a recipe for success, Curcio says that keeps longtime customers coming back for more.
