SHEEPSHEAD BAY -

The Kings Bay Y in Sheepshead Bay hosted its annual Hanukkah Extravaganza on Sunday.

The annual celebration featured face painting, bouncy houses, magic shows, theatrical storytelling, rock climbing and more.

The community carnival teaches families the importance of their culture by telling the story of Hanukkah and lighting a menorah.

Organizers of the event say about a thousand people show up every year and this year was no exception.
