BK men charged after pursuit involving stolen vehicle; 1 sought

Police say they are searching for a driver who allegedly took off after crashing an SUV that had been stolen from a dealership in Manhattan.
Police tell News 12 a Dodge Durango with four occupants inside was speeding on the eastbound Northern State Parkway on Long Island shortly before 1 p.m.
Saturday and refused to stop. Shortly after, the SUV crashed with another car in Commack, in Suffolk County.
Investigators say the driver and three passengers then took off running. Three were caught in nearby backyards, but the driver of the car is still on the loose.
Two of the suspects have been identified as 19-year-old James Tafari and 26-year-old Anthony Alcindor-Louis. Both are from Brooklyn.
A third passenger who is 15 years old was issued a ticket to appear in family court. The teen’s identity wasn’t released.
The search is ongoing for the driver who fled. Anyone with information is asked to call New York State police at 631-756-3300
