Water has been restored Wednesday after a water main break in the Bronx, according to officials.
The water main broke Tuesday on E. 198th Street and the Grand Concourse just after 7 a.m.
The street remained closed and water was shut off to at least 100 residential units and eight businesses.
Some stores were forced to close, but others stayed open.
The contractor on scene told News 12 the drastic difference in weather may have played a role in breaking the pipe.
The area remains closed off.
