Brooklyn students are programming robots as part of a city program.

Students at the Emma L. Johnston school in Crown Heights are coding and programming the robots to do things like roll through an obstacle course, spin in circles, and even play soccer.

"You can make it move. You can make it spin. You can make it do whatever with it," student Javier Desilva says."

Desilva and his classmates have been coding robots for more than a year and a half thanks to the Computer Science For All program.

The program is one of the equity and excellence initiatives coming out of the De Blasio administration.
