Brooklyn Style: Viral photo boosts knitting business

Posted: Updated:
BROOKLYN -

A viral photo has boosted a Brooklyn man's knitting business.

Louis Boria, the founder of Brooklyn Boys Knits, was recently photographed knitting on the subway by singer Frenchie Davis, who posted it to social media.

Boria says his company was conceived 10 years ago from a dream. Boria, who says he draws inspiration from Brooklyn street style, now has to hire knitters to keep up with demand.

"You're the designer and I am just making it for you,” he says. “I give you the template and you just tell me what you want and I make it.”
