Hit-and-run driver strikes officer in Crown Heights

An NYPD officer was struck by a car that fled the scene in Crown Heights Friday morning.
The incident happened on Buffalo and East New York avenues around 7:30 a.m. on the border of Crown Heights and Brownsville.
Police say the officer was struck by a black Mitsubishi vehicle and sped off. 
The officer is being treated for minor injuries at Kings County Hospital and is expected to be OK.
Police are still searching for the driver accused of hitting the officer.
