Police seek 3 teens who assaulted man in Gravesend

Police are searching the borough for three teen boys suspected of assaulting and robbing a man earlier this month.

Officials say the attack happened back on Dec. 5 near Avenue U and East 14th Street in Gravesend.

Just before 3 p.m., the three boys allegedly approached a 20-year-old man from behind, punched him in the back of the head, took his cellphone and ran off.

The victim is expected to be okay.

The boys ran off toward East 15th Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
