The NYPD Hate Crimes Unit is investigating after a woman's tearful video detailing an assault went viral on Facebook.
Police say 51-year-old Souad Kirama was targeted by a group of teenage girls at the Panera Bread in Downtown Brooklyn Tuesday.
They say she asked them to be quiet inside the restaurant when they reportedly called her at terrorist, punched her and spit on her.
Kirama says no one watching the attack tried to stop the girls.
No arrests have been made.
