In the midst of bitterly cold temperatures, one Brownsville family says they have been without heat all season long.

Ariane Sanchez, who lives in the Reid Houses, says the conditions in her NYCHA apartment have become unbearable. She says her family dresses in outdoor gear inside and has to use the oven to keep warm.

"It feels like we're living outside right now because it's so cold," Sanchez says.

NYCHA says there are no reported outages but its staff is responding to three work orders for heat and hot water. The agency is reminding tenants to report any heat issues as soon as possible by calling or using its app.
