Fire officials met with children and their families Thursday to discuss fire safety and awareness in the wake of a Bronx fire that killed more than a dozen people.
Firefighter Anthony Mancuso says he spends most of his time in classrooms making presentations about objects that could start fires.
He says learning about something as simple as getting a stove knob cover could save lives.
Firefighters at Ladder 119 say they will continue to teach fire safety and awareness to prevent future fires from occurring.
