Rain & fog haunt Brooklyn drivers

Posted: Updated:
BROOKLYN -

A nasty, dreary day with rain and fog bore down on the borough Friday, complicating traffic during and after the evening commute.

Visibility was very low along the Belt Parkway because of fog. Roads were also slick with rain.

Authorities are urging drivers to travel slow and leave extra space between themselves and vehicles in front of them until conditions improve.

Forecasters say the rain will clear up Saturday with a high of 43. Sunday will be much colder.
