Park Slope prayer box aims to engage community

A pastor in Park Slope says he installed a prayer box outside his church as a way to engage with the community.

Rev. HyoungDock Yoo installed the prayer box six years ago. It now gets about a few hundred requests a year.

People don't leave their names but they leave their hearts' desires. Prayers come in for things like healing sick family members and freedom from drug addiction.

Yoo takes each one and prays on behalf of the anonymous writers.
