Person hospitalized after explosion in Gravesend home

One person was hospitalized Saturday after an explosion at a Gravesend home.

The explosion happened around 8:15 a.m. at 151 Bay 49th St.

The force of the blast smashed windows as it ripped through a bedroom on the building's second floor.

News 12 is told that four people were injured, but three refused medical attention.

The fourth person was taken to a hospital in serious condition but expected to survive, News 12 is told.
