Family and friends gathered Saturday to remember two brothers who died in the Prospect Avenue fire on Dec. 28 that killed 13 people.
Mourners gathered at the Lucia Brothers Funeral Home on East 184th Street to remember brothers Justice Opoku, 54, and Gabriel Sarkodie, 48.
Opoku, who worked in a nursing home, left behind four children who live in Ghana. Sarkodie, an Uber driver, left behind two children.
Family members say both men came to the United States in hopes of "greener pastures."
After the services in the Bronx, both bodies will be flown back to Ghana for burial.
The fire, which erupted after an unattended 3-year-old was playing with a stove, caused severe damages and claimed 13 lives, marking New York City's deadliest fire in the last 25 years.
