BROOKLYN -

Eric Gonzalez, Brooklyn's 33rd district attorney, was inaugurated Sunday.

Gonzalez served as acting district attorney when former DA Ken Thompson passed away in 2016. He won the DA's race in November.

Many city officials were in attendance for the ceremony, including Mayor Bill de Blasio and state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

The ceremony was hosted by award-winning actor, Marine combat veteran, singer, filmmaker and philanthropist JW Cortés.
