Best of Brooklyn: Triple Threat Bootcamp

Posted: Updated:
BROOKLYN -

A fitness trainer in Brooklyn is being recognized for her motivational and high-energy classes.

Samantha Ortiz, her mother and her sister are co-owners of Triple Threat Bootcamp in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

"It's a male kind of based industry, so for us to be three women, three Latina women in Brooklyn where we were raised, I think it's so powerful in itself," Ortiz says.

Ortiz also landed the title of Best Instructor of 2017 by online fitness company ClassPass.
"That was pretty exciting, a very humbling moment," she says.

Ortiz has been training since she was 8 years old out of her parents' living room. She offers a variety of classes from cardio to strength training, all with an extra set of girl power.

"I think women can learn to feel confident and not feel intimidated," she says. "You can push and you can believe in yourself."
