Community members came together Sunday afternoon to remember a teen boy who was killed Friday while riding his bicycle in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Grieving family and friends of 13-year-old Kevin Flores held a vigil near Lewis and Jefferson avenues, where Flores was fatally struck.
As News 12 reported, Flores was struck by an oil truck. The driver, 28-year-old Philip Monfoletto, reportedly did not see the boy as he was making a turn.
Flores sustained severe head injuries and later died at Interfaith Hospital.
Monfoletto, of Deer Park, Long Island, remained at the scene but was later arrested for driving without a license.
Monfoletto claims his license was suspended after failing to appear for a traffic summons. He was released Saturday on $2,500 bail.
