Fitness partnership in Prospect Heights holds grand opening

PROSPECT HEIGHTS -

A new fitness partnership in the borough held their official grand opening Saturday in Prospect Heights.

Tabata Ultimate Fitness has joined forces with CrossFit Prospect Heights to bring a well-rounded gym to the Brooklyn community.

Tabata, created by Mike Montanez, of Bensonhurst, hopes to educate its members on the importance of leading a healthy and fit lifestyle through food and exercise.

The dual-floor gym offers a diverse range of workout options from kickboxing to CrossFit training.

Montanez and his staff of trainers say they are excited to change the lives of Brooklyn residents.

"What separates us from other gyms is that we have a group fitness setting with a little personal training touch,” he says. “Everybody knows about training with other people, but they're never alone."

Montanez, who also works as a radiation therapist, says he wants to see Tabata grow and expand over the years.
