The Brooklyn Diocese is taking flu season very seriously by making a temporary change to Sunday Mass.

The Diocese says until further notice there will be regular communion without a wine offering at Mass.

St. James Cathedral Church is among those also asking parishioners to use common sense when they're deciding whether to attend while sick.

The church says they want to play a part in making sure people, especially the young and elderly, are as healthy as possible.
