A group of middle school students in the Bronx are learning math and science at a high school level.
The six eighth-graders from Bronx Alliance Middle School were recently accepted into the Envision Summer STEM program with the help of their teachers.
The six-day program gives the students hands-on experience in the fields of robotics, earth space science and bio engineering while living on a college campus.
However, even after the cost of financial aid, their teachers say the program comes at an expense.
The teachers created a GoFundMe page to help raise the $1,600 for each of the six students to be able to participate in the program.
