Emergency responders found Thierno Omar Barry with gunshot wounds to the face and torso just after 3 a.m. on Montgomery Street, near Bedford Avenue. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital and pronounced dead.
Family members say Barry drove a taxi for a living and was working to bring his wife and child to the United States from Guinea. They say he likely wrapped up a shift before heading home.
Barry's father told News 12 through a translator that his son was hardworking and devoted to his family.
No arrests have been made.
