A Prospect Heights bar is being threatened with eviction after being in the area for 15 years.
Bar Sepia could close unless its owner is able to negotiate a deal that would allow her to buy the building from the landlord.
Owner Delissa Reynolds is relying on her customers to sign a petition to help make a deal happen.
There is another buyer interested in the building, but Reynolds hopes that the support of the community will allow her to own the bar and the building once and for all.
"I don't want to be unwelcoming, that's not our motto here," Reynolds said. "But this is our home and we want to stay and I want the opportunity to sit down at the table. That's all I'm asking."
Those who want to keep Bar Sepia to stay open have until April 30 to go online and sign the petition.
