A domestic violence awareness initiative spearheaded by New York City first lady Chirlane McCray was held in Wakefield Sunday.
The initiative was held at the Cathedral of Greater Faith and encouraged leaders to speak out about the physical, mental and emotional dangers of domestic violence.
Experts say one in four women will be a victim of domestic violence. McCray says she is determined to change that statistic.
