CANARSIE -

A birthday celebration was held Saturday for the daughter of Chynna Battle – a mother from Brooklyn who was fatally shot in July.

News 12 has reported that Nazir Saunders, 20, and Anthony Alexander, 18, are accused of killing Battle, 21, and Shaqwanda Staley, 29, on July 12 in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Police say the two men fired at least six shots into a crowd of people sitting down for a barbecue, fatally striking the two mothers.

Battle's mother Mozelle Brown says Chynna was waiting until the right year to throw her daughter Amelia a birthday party – when she would be old enough to remember it.

On Saturday – event planners, DJs and caterers were determined to make the birthday party one for the ages. The theme was "Frozen" which is Amelia's favorite movie.
