BROOKLYN -

Thousands turned out Sunday in Sunset Park for the 31st annual Chinese New Year Celebration.

The Brooklyn Chinese-American Association, which organized the event, says it's a source of pride for a community with thousands of Chinese-Americans.

Chinese-Americans have settled all over Brooklyn, including in Sunset Park, Sheepshead Bay, Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst.

Chinese culture dictates a 15-day long celebration of the Chinese New Year.
